Kona coffee is grown in the fertile volcanic soil and mild climate of the Kona district on the west side of the Big Island of Hawaii. Only the top 5 grades of coffee grown in this area are considered "Kona Coffee," including Extra Fancy, Fancy, No.1, Select, and Prime.

Coffee beans of lower grades, even if they are grown in the Kona district, cannot be considered Kona Coffee. In other words, Kona Coffee is a rare and valuable coffee bean that is carefully selected from a limited area and must meet certain standards.

The Hawaiian Queen Coffee Farm is one of the best coffee farms in Kona, known for being the oldest and most successful food festival in Hawaii. They honor the cultural heritage of Kona and the accomplishments of coffee pioneers, farmers, and artisans with the "Kona Coffee Cultural Festival," and have won the Crown Division of the Kona Coffee Cupping Competition three times (in 2013, 2014, and 2019) as well as numerous other awards for their high-quality coffee.

Additionally, while many farms are unable to meet the strict requirements set by the Hawaii Department of Agriculture, all of the Kona Coffee beans grown at the Hawaiian Queen Coffee Farm have been recognized and certified by the department as authentic and high quality.

We are proud to offer you the finest Kona Coffee No.1, which is made by hand-picking only fully ripened cherries, and then carefully drying them for over a month in large vinyl houses before finishing them to the optimal moisture level through machine drying.
